چکیده
Mosses have often been used for biomonitoring because of their diversity habitats, structural simplicity, and rapid multiplication rate. This research aimed to study the tolerance heavy metal in 3 species terricolous mosses i.e., Barbula consanguinea, Hyophila apiculata, H. involuta. The gametophores were immersed at 4 concentrations each metals Cd, Pb, Zn as well controls with no metal. After 10, 20, 30 days exposure, extracted chlorophyll-a ethanol. was analyzed by spectrophotometer 664 nm. results revealed that amount all decreased increasing Zn. degree toxicity Cd > Pb By comparing ratio metal-treated control mosses, against involuta ≥ apiculata B. consanguinea. 15 صفحه اولTHE ASSESSMENT OF TOLERANCE TO HEAVY METALS (Cd,Pb and Zn) AND THEIR ACCUMULATION IN THREE WEED SPECIES
Phytoextraction is gaining great attention as an alternative technique for remediation of heavy metal contaminated soils. A greenhouse study was conducted to assess heavy metal (Cd, Pb, and Zn) accumulation in three weed species viz., Avena sterils, Isatis tinctoria and Xanthium strumarium. A range of phytoavailable Cd, Pb and Zn concentrations in soils was created by applications of five diffe...
متن کاملHeavy Metals (Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd and Hg) Contents and Fatty Acids Ratios in Two Fish Species (Scomberomorus commerson and Otolithes ruber) of the Persian Gulf
This study was conducted to determine the concentrations of metals (Zn, Cu, Pb, Cd and Hg) in two commercial fish species of the Persian Gulf (coast of Bushehr Province in Iran), as well as in the sea waters. The concentrations of metals were determined by using differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV). Two selected species were narrow-barred Spanish mackerel and tiger toot...
متن کاملAntioxidative Defense System in Pisum sativum Roots Exposed to Heavy Metals (Pb, Cu, Cd, Zn)
Heavy metals (Cd, Pb, Cu, Zn) absorbed by roots brought about oxidative stress conditions through ROS production (O2̄ ̇, H2O2) for pea plants cultivated hydroponically for 96 h on a Hoagland medium with the addition of 50 μM: CdCl2, Pb(NO3)2, CuSO4, and ZnSO4. We shows, using laser ablation ICP MS, that Cd, Cu, Pb, and Zn elements are located along a cross-section through the roots of pea plants...

Cadmium is mainly used in galvanoplasty and stabilisation of plastic materials. It accumulates continuously in soils. The analysis of soil samples gave concrete evidence of increase of concentration of this element during the past centunary [1]. Furthermore Cd and Pb attack selectively the kidneys and the liver with enzymatic troubles. The work has enabaled to put into evidence the contribution...
